‘Tis the Season for Local at Merchantville’s Holiday Market

Merchantville unveils a new Holiday Market Dec. 10 and 11 packed with artists, music and holiday cheer.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year in Merchantville, NJ! This holiday season Merchantville presents the Holiday Market Dec. 10 and 11, the area’s largest collection of artists and crafters filling the streets of Merchantville’s Rockwellian downtown with precious works and classic gifts for everyone on your list. Enjoy a weekend overflowing with activities and entertainment for the whole family and start a new holiday tradition.

The fun kicks off Friday, Dec. 10, from 5pm-9pm with live ice carvings taking place throughout the downtown. Stroll the streets and be amazed at the artistry and skill from Ice Sculpture Philly as they create amazing displays right before your eyes. Warm up at the hot chocolate bar located at the Station Coffee, and pause for a photo at the selfie station to share with your friends and followers! Browse a selection of food trucks or sit down at one of Merchantville’s restaurants including the Blue Monkey, Aroma Indian, Park Place and Charlie’s Crepes.

Saturday, Dec. 11, the Market continues from 11am-5pm. See the finished ice sculptures, shop the artist vendors and Merchantville boutiques and enjoy a day filled with family entertainment including face painting, kids’ crafts and carolers throughout the day. Stop by Santa’s house on the corner of Park and Centre Ave for a visit and to share your holiday wishes. With so much to see and do, there’s no place like Merchantville for the holidays!

The Holiday Market, sponsored by Merchantville’s Market Off Centre, Shop Merchantville and Eilandarts Center, supports local artists and crafters by providing a welcoming environment to sell and display their work. Long an arts-focused town, Merchantville is known for its eclectic collection of thrift stores, antique finds and galleries. From textile arts in stores like the Nimble Needle to repurposed pieces at Merchantville Antiques and rotating artists’ shows in Eilandarts Center, there’s a world of creativity to discover in this gem of a small town.
